Cysic Network Testnet Phase II: A New Era in Accelerating Proof Generation and Verification

On July 29th, 2024, we launched Phase I of the Cysic Network Testnet with a limited number of spots for verifiers. Over the past four months since launch, we’ve seen incredible growth and interest — over 23,000 people applied, more than 20 times the number of spots available. This massive interest has shown us something truly important: decentralization of ZK proofs verification and proving at scale it’s achievable by Cysic Network.

Today marks a major milestone in our journey: Cysic Network Phase II is officially live, a pivotal step in decentralizing both proof generation and verification. To reward our Cysor community and early supporters, we’re excited to introduce the Genesis Node as the whitelist of Phase II. With Genesis Node access, you can now:

After several months of rigorous battlefield stress testing on the Cysic Network infrastructure, it can now effortlessly handle thousands of proof generation and verification processes, meeting the current demands of the ZK community. We’re excited to share some key features as we move forward with Phase II of the Cysic Network, sit tight as we give you a through introduction:

New Consensus Mechanism:

The latest upgrade introduces a robust consensus mechanism designed to enhance scalability and security, ensuring that every transaction is validated with the utmost efficiency. The new consensus algorithm, called Proof-of-Compute, is a combination of Proof-of-Work and Proof-of-Stake. Simply put, it quantifies the computational contribution via veTokens of each participant of Cysic network and incentivizes participants with their quantitative computational contribution to take part in the CometBFT consensus, which is a PoS consensus algorithm.

Token Model:

Introducing our new token model, $CYS and$CGT, built to optimize network incentives and governance. The $CYS is the network token that is used for transactions and gas fees and will be listed in exchanges after TGE. The$CGT is a non-transferable token that is mainly used for governance and voting. For instance, a certain amount of $CGT is required to be a validator who can directly participate in block production. Please note that in Cysic Network Testnet, the participants will get the testnet token$CYS and $CGT instead of the real tokens. Users with testnet token$CYS and $CGT will be able to claim token airdrop with a certain conversion ratio after TGE.

Staking and Delegating:

• Convert Between Tokens: Seamlessly convert $CYS to an equal amount of$CGT, and vice versa, offering flexibility for users.
• Become a Validator: Hold the required amount of $CGT to secure the network and participate as a validator.
• **Stake $CGT:** Stake$CGT to validators to join the consensus process, support the network, and earn $CYS as rewards.
• Delegate veTokens: Delegate your veTokens (veScroll and veAleo) to receive $CGT.
• Earn Testnet Tokens: Earn $CYS and$CGT by participating in network activities, such as proving/verifying ZK proofs and joining the consensus process.

• Genesis Node Access: Phase I whitelist participants will be granted the Genesis Node as recognition for their early involvement. To join Phase II, all participants must run the new verifier or prover program as shared in this article above.
• Phase I Points: Your Phase I points are still available and can be viewed in the “My Page” section.
• Exclusive bonus: As part of Phase II, early contributors of Cysic Network will receive an exclusive bonus — stake your $CGT to earn$CYS rewards.
