Join the Cysic Testnet as a Verifier

As the previous introduction of the Cysic network illustrated, the step-by-step Testnet verifier onboarding process is shown below figure:

Submit your application

Ⅰ. Open our Testnet website.

Ⅱ. Click the “𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘁” button, and confirm the connection.

Ⅲ. After connecting your wallet, please select the “𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗿” button.

Ⅳ. Submit your information.

Ⅴ. Certify your address, then click “ 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗺**”,** sign this then wait for the backend confirmation.

Ⅵ. Check whether your address is accepted or not on Cysic Dashboard.

Preparing the environment to join the Testnet

Requirements:

Ensure your device meets the following minimal specs for a smooth Cysic verifier program installation:

• CPU: Single Core
• Memory: 512 MB
• Disk: 10 GB
• Bandwidth: 100 KB/s upload/download
• Available OS: Linux, Windows, Mac

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗦 𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀.

Operating the Verifier Node Program

If the backend confirms your address, please follow the steps to download the verification program. The program size is about 4GB, please be patient in downloading.

Ⅰ. Open the terminal on your OS, then execute the program on your terminal line by line ❗

Note for Mac Users:

If a prompt appears on your Mac (as shown in the image below), follow these steps:

\The Privacy & Security Alert from Mac OS

1. Click “Cancel.”
2. Go to System Settings -> Privacy & Security.
3. Locate the security prompt and click “Allow Anyway.”
4. Enter your password when prompted.
5. Execute the action again.
6. ./start.sh

Windows ( Not terminal❗ ):

Enter the cysic-verifier folder in the user directory
Double-click verifier.exe to execute the program

Ⅳ. Please check whether the address in the log is consistent with the Address item in the form.

Ⅴ. If it is the first time to start, the verifier dependency file will be automatically downloaded, please wait 15–20 mins:

Ⅵ. If you do not pass the application, the error occurs, and the program will be rechecked:

Ⅶ. If your address is connected, the verifier can be successfully deployed:

❗Warning: Do not turn off your terminal, it will afffect your ZK task verification and points

Ⅷ. Check your points and verification status at :

https://testnet.cysic.xyz/m/dashboard/

Ⅸ. Please keep your computer connected to the internet, if you need to reconnect the verifier, please execute the program below:

Linux:

Mac:

Windows ( Not Terminal ):

Enter the cysic-verifier folder in the user directory
Double-click verifier.exe to execute the program

For a given task, 10 verifiers will be selected in a round-robin fashion to verify the task, but only the first 6 verifiers who finishes the task will be awarded points.
